China devastated by a 7.8 earthquake

The devastated quake that rocked China yesterday has claimed 10,000 lives already. Reports say that another 10,000 are feared to be buried under the city of Mianzhu. This quake is said to be the worst that has hit in 32 years. The quake measured 7.8 in Richter scale. While the Chinese government has sent out 50,000 troops to the three countries worst hit by the quake the troops are struggling to reach the battered mountainous areas. Heavy rains combined with low clouds has made relief through helicopters impossible while the roads have been blocked due to storms. Any plans to parachute the troops has also been called off due to storm. Thousands of eager relatives from all over the world are really worried regarding the lives of their dear ones as no ready information was available.
